At Lunaya, sustainability is not just a word; it is a standard by which we abide. From ethical sourcing to manufacturing everything is done in-house with the highest attention to detail and utmost care.
Ethically sourced gems
Now, you may be wondering, what does ‘ethical sourcing’ even mean, right? Face it, not everyone is aware of the nitty-gritty details of each piece of jewelry that they own. No matter where you get it from, most stones have been mined and sourced from places that aren’t necessarily disclosed to us as customers. But it is essential to understand that we all play a role in the social and environmental consequences no matter how involved or uninvolved, aware or unaware we are when it comes to the process.
Lunaya jewelry is one of the very few conscious brands that sources materials ethically - the gems used across our products be it our signet rings, dainty bracelets or our gem glazed hoops and petite sapphire cone studs; are lab-grown. None of our gemstones are unethically mined or imported. We use VS1 quality diamonds and gems to embellish our products that are primarily made of 10K gold and 925 sterling silver. Our in-house process ensures sustainability every step of the way.
We also value our employees and keep their well-being in mind for the production process. Our products are made by local artisans with generations worth of experience and knowledge in the craft. We understand their needs and lifestyles, and ensure that they work under the best of conditions.
Making conscious choices is the need of the hour right now, wouldn’t you say?
Sustainable jewelry can play a very big role for the environment - bigger than you think it does. If you are a consumer of cosmetic jewelry, you know that it lasts for a short period of time when compared to fine or demi-fine jewelry. When you dispose of those products, in time, they start emitting harmful toxins in the environment.
Our choices are susceptible to the kind of change we want to see, however they may be achieved. If you purchase any product from a homegrown brand like Lunaya, you can be part of the responsible and environmentally aware population, while also supporting a sustainable business!
If you invest in fine or demi-fine jewelry, you are investing in affordable and sustainable luxury - it’s two for the price of one!
